28 Dec, 2010
We here at Midtown Comics decided to take a look back at all the great stuff 2010 had to offer with this very special, “Midtown Comics: The best of 2010.” Join us as we remember fondly some of our most favorite Midtown moments of the year.
Midtown Comics In-Store Signings
Midtown Comics was alive all year long with in-store signings from the comic industry’s top talent including Ed Brubaker, Christos Gage, Matt Fraction, Brian Michael Bendis, Brain Wood, Rebekah Issacs, Becky Cloonan, Gilbert Hernandez, Paul Levitz, Neal Adams, The Luna Brothers, Jim Shooter, Dennis Calero, Jim McCann, Olivia Munn, Jon Price, John Layman, Jim Lee, Steve Niles, Dean Haspiel and Ron Marz! We plan on making 2011 even bigger!
Midtown Comics Exclusive
2010 was a busy year for Midtown Comics. This year we had several limited edition variant covers from top publishers like Marvel, IDW, Dynamite Entertainment, Top Cow and Boom Studios.
The list includes:
We also got our Exclusive Captain America ‘Good Ol’ Steve’ T-Shirt this year for New York Comic Con.
Midtown Comics Downtown Opens
In early November of 2010 Midtown Comics proudly opened the doors to it’s third New York City location: Midtown Comics Downtown! Located in the heart of the Financial District at 64 Fulton Street, Midtown Comics Downtown has already hosted such prestigious guest like New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and DC Co-Publisher and Artist Jim Lee.
Midtown Comics TV
Zoë and Thor came out of nowhere in 2010 bringing you the all new Midtown Comics TV. They covered events like in-store signings and New York Comic Con and asked the hard hitting questions like “Who would win in a fight, Thor or Hulk?”
New York Comic Con
Once again we pulled out all the stops for New York Comic Con. This year we added a 50 cent back issues section that fans just couldn’t keep their hands out of! As usual we had a high-caliber, round the clock signing schdule for NYCC that included Garth Ennis, Todd McFarlane, Blair Butler, Paul Levitz and lots more!
One of our favorite parts about New York Comic Con is the costumes! You can check out all of our galleries of all the amazing costumes blow.
