Job Description: Plan, direct and coordinate activities of buyers, purchasing officers and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products and services. Includes wholesale or retail trade merchandising managers and procurement managers. Will head the inventory control procedures. Will work directly with the COO to improve purchasing processes and efficiency.

Skills required:

o Coordination – Adjusting in relation to others’ actions. Coordinate all purchasing department tasks, including negotiation with distributors and
direct vendor representatives and coordinate and execute special projects for purchasing department.

o Negotiation – Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences. Act as a liaison between purchasing department and other departments.
o Social Perceptiveness – Being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react the way they do.

o Management of Personnel Resources – Motivating, developing and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
o Judgment and Decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
o Reading Comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
o Monitoring – Monitoring/Accessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective actions.
o Writing – Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

o Instructing – Teaching others how to do something.

to the goals of the system.

o Quality Control Analysis – Conducting tests and product requirements to create a design.
