Gahl Buslov here! I’m one of the buyers for Midtown Comics, and I’ve got something I want to share with you.
I got a call from a publisher the other day, asking me if I would review an upcoming book for them, and if I liked it, and was so inclined, to then tell the world about it. Not an unusual request, but the source of the request was: Marvel! They wanted me to come down to the offices and review their new ongoing Nova series, by Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness. And it had to be done at the Marvel office, to ensure nothing was leaked. So that’s exactly what I did Thursday morning. Click through to read more! Spoilers will be clearly marked.
Midtown Bloggerinos! Raph here, to talk about the new Marvel Now! books that have come out so far. There’s a new age in Marvel, and creative teams are changing along with the universe. Exciting times, but is it worth your time? I’m about to go through, book by book, and tell you! Warning: there may be some minor spoilers.

Superhero comics are what make comic books epic, mythic even. While it’s nice to see someone reveal their life to us in their own art and words, it’s still pretty cool to see Superman uppercut Darkseid into space! With that said, here are our 5 favorite superhero books right now!

Midtown Children of the Blog! Raph here, with a little interview. Wolverine and Cyclops have ended their on-again, off-again bromance. Wolverine has taken a couple of key X-Men and most of the kids back to Westchester, to allow them to learn and be children. Scott, meanwhile, has dug in at Utopia and promises to defend mutantkind by any means necessary. All the while, the X-Men’s enemies salivate and move in for the kill… this is X-Men: Regenesis.
And my good, ol’ personal best friend (He doesn’t like acknowledging it) Nick Lowe was kind enough to answer my questions for YOU, the Midtown Comics Bloggerino, Bloggerucci, Blog- … you.

Greetings Blogvengers! If it’s early in the week, it must be time for some Raph Rampage on your computer screens! This week, the reality of life sets in. You and I can’t go to every convention out there (unless you’ve got someone to subsidize your comic habit or are independently wealthy… grumble grumble), and WonderCon 2011 has come and gone without us. FRET NOT BLOG READER! I’ve chosen my favorite tidbits to present to you! I would like to thank the people at Comic Book Resources (www.comicbookresources.com) and Newsarama (www.newsarama.com ) for having people at the con doing the reporting. Check those pages out for extensive coverage!
