Peter David continues to recuperate after having a stroke last week, and we’re happy to report that there has been some nice progress in his recovery, as mentioned by his wife Kathleen on his website. We can take heart that he’s mending, and continue to enjoy Peter’s work in X-Factor #250, in which a year of X-Factor stories culminates in the first part of “Hell on Earth War” — art by Leonard Kirk, cover by David Yardin.

Death of the Family takes some terrifying turns:
Batman heads into his showdown with The Joker as the madman’s plan is finally revealed — in Arkham Asylum! Batman #16 is by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, and leads into next month’s terrifying conclusion! You’re invited to the wedding of Barbara Gordon and the Joker, and the entire Gordon family will be on hand as well, in Batgirl #16, by Gail Simone and Ed Benes! Has The Joker broken Damian? DOTF continues in Batman and Robin #16, by Peter J. Tomasi, Patrick Gleason, and Mick Gray.

That’s not all from DC:
Continuing directly out of this month’s Green Lantern: New Guardians Annual #1, comes Threshold #1, the story of Jediah Caul, a disgraced Green Lantern who is stripped of his power ring and hunted for sport on a televised reality show. Threshold is by Keith Giffen, Tom Raney, Scott Kolins, Howard Porter, and John Dell. There’s lots more coming from DC Comics next week!
