I remember the first time that I saw a HOT TOYS figure and I thought that surely this was just one made for charity or some important cause. There was no way that this work of art could be available for regular collectors like me to actually purchase, right? But it was true. I had seen the future of toys back in 2004 at San Diego Comic Con and this was going to change the playing field for what was quickly becoming known as the “high end collectible figure.” As I stood there admiring this piece, it was as if I had just been dropped off by Doc Brown & Marty McFly in a time traveling DeLorean. I was witnessing the future of toys and the future looked incredibly bright.

Ted and Gavin sit down with the man who took it upon himself to edit all the Marvel movies together in chronological order.  Mike Furth of The Comic Archive tells us what motivated him and how you can do it yourself. We then review the Daredevil series and what we want to see in next week’s Age of Ultron.  Finally, we talk about the books we read this week and what you should be reading in your pile!

The winners will receive Two (2) Admit-One passes to see the IMAX 3D screening of the film on Tuesday, 04/28 at 7pm at a Manhattan theater.

Gavin, Sam, Andrew, and Ted are joined in-store by Editor-In-Chief of Papercutz, Jim Salicrup.  Jim tells how he helped create one of Spider-man’s deadliest enemies Venom, paved the way for characters to cross over into different books, and the history of Papercutz.  From Ernest & RebeccaPower Rangers, and The Smurfs, to the popular WWE Superstars, we get just a small example of the titles they put out.

We give our take on the Avengers 2: Age of Ultron trailer and explain the differences it has with the Brian Michael Bendis book of the same name.

Finally we give our hot picks for the week and what we are looking forward to next week and Andrew spills some secrets on some events that we’ll be hosting at the store over the next few months!
