A lot of characters and teams deserve their own Marvel Netflix show. Shang-Chi, Blade, and Daughters of the Dragon immediately come to mind. It would be so easy to make a list like “10-20 characters who need a Netflix show” – there are that many good options to choose from! There really is a lot of potential out there, but my top pick has remained the same for the past few years: Marc Spector, a.k.a. Moon Knight.

Daredevil has faced many cruel and scary people over the years, but few are as bloodthirsty and frightening as Marvel’s ultimate evil marksman: Bullseye. The accurate assassin is known for being a vicious villain, capable of throwing anything with lethal accuracy and boasting reflexes quick enough to block a bullet, and now he’s returning to the spotlight in his very own ongoing series. We all know what the fearsome foe does for work, but what does he do for fun? The new series – by writers Ed Brisson and Marv Wolfman, and artists Guillermo Sanna and Alec Morgan – goes on sale this Wednesday (get your copy HERE), so we’re celebrating with some fun facts about the barbaric bad guy!

Editorial: The Defenders Should Be Based on Daredevil: Born Again

Marvel Netflix and Daredevil: Born Again SPOILERS are ahead! Obviously, the following article is 100% speculation.

DEFENDERS

Article by Gregg Katzman

I remember the very first time I saw Marvel’s The AvengersWatching Earth’s Mightiest Heroes unite to take on an alien invasion brought me a ridiculous amount of joy. Immediately, I felt like a five year-old kid watching cartoons – it was that level of fun. Now, Marvel and Netflix are hoping to capture that kind of magic on the small screen with Marvel’s The Defenders.

Daredevil. Jessica Jones. Iron Fist. Luke Cage. (And maaaaaaaaybe a cameo from the Punisher?) It won’t be very long until we see these heroes interact and fight a common threat. Will I get goosebumps all over again when I see these characters join forces? Considering how excellent Marvel and Netflix’s shows have been, the answer will very likely be “yes”. But what will make them unite? What could make the Man Without Fear need some help in his ongoing struggle to clean up Hell’s Kitchen? The Kingpin forming an alliance with The Hand, that’s what! For a show this big (which presumably has Daredevil in a key role), I think they should draw inspiration from a big comic: Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s Daredevil: Born Again. If you haven’t read it, you really should fix that asap. (While you’re at it, here are five other reading suggestions.)

GET READY FOR THE 4th QUARTER!

Can you believe that the Summer is just about over? By the time the first day of school rolls around, the big box chains will already have the Halloween banners up. We cannot get a rest! I say we just whittle it down to two seasons: warm & cold. DONE!

However in the toy world, the fourth quarter means holidays, and holidays means shopping. Lots of shopping, which means that the big toy companies (and the little guys as well) are going to spare no expense as to what Junkies should keep their eyes peeled for once the leaves start to change and the flurries begin. Here are some of the coolest items that I have had my eye on all summer because we are always looking out for you toy Junkies that happen to be rabid Wednesday comic book pull-list cowboys and girls. Take a Fall trip to one of Midtown Comics’ three NYC locations for these upcoming goodies because nothing beats NYC in Autumn.
