The Suicide Squad is one of the coolest concepts in all of comics. An elite group of crooks and convicts forced to the dirty work for the government. It combines the thrills of The Dirty Dozen with the guilty pleasure of focusing on the villains of the DC Universe. David Ayer’s film adaptation had a lot of hype to live up to, both from the comic book community and the summer blockbuster crowd. Luckily, Suicide Squad not only lives up to the hype, it surpasses it in many ways. It is a strong entry in the emerging DC Cinematic Universe and exposes fans new and old to some of the best villains that DC has to offer.

After a whole lot of anticipation, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad has finally arrived! Some of the employees here at Midtown Comics legitimately enjoyed the film and now they want to explain why! Above, we have a video review, and below we’ll provide links to our other reviews of the film. As you can imagine, there are A LOT of comic fans here at Midtown Comics (shocking, right?) so we’re going to offer plenty of opinions! Keep checking back for more coverage, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy the three videos!

After years of anticipation, Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is finally in theaters! We’ve created two spoiler-free reviews – watch us talk about it above and click here to read our extended thoughts – and now you have the chance to see the film and judge it for yourself. Maybe it’ll be one of your favorite comic book movies, maybe it won’t. But if you are reading this article, it should mean you’ve already seen the movie! If not, go away!
