Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Spoiler-Free Review by Gregg Katzman

Isn’t it so surreal that there’s a Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover? I mean, this is something that so many of us have wanted to see for decades, but considering the Dark Knight is with DC Comics and the Heroes in a Half Shell are with IDW Publishing, it just didn’t seem probable. Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

DC Comics and IDW Publishing have teamed up to create a crossover that is 110% fan service: Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We loved the first issue – read about it here – and maybe – just maybe – we had the opportunity to read the second issue a little early. Just like the first issue (which you can order here), writer James Tynion IV’s story is fun, artist Freddie E. The trailer for the second TMNT movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, has arrived, and it looks like plenty of lighthearted fun! So, we’ve created a list of cool collectibles and comics for all of the Ninja Turtles fans out there!

Batman TMNT Kevin Eastman

Article by Gregg Katzman

Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been incredibly popular for decades now. But Batman and the Ninja Turtles teaming-up? It seemed like a crossover that would be limited to a fan’s imagination. Now, DC and IDW Publishing have joined forces to make this dream come true. The Ninja Turtles – along with Shredder and the Foot Clan – find themselves in the concrete jungle that the Dark Knight has sworn to protect: Gotham City. What will it be like when these two sides meet? Which of Gotham’s heroes and villains will show up, and how will they play a role? Can the Ninja Turtles keep up with the Caped Crusader? The Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles limited series will go on sale December 9, and we were lucky enough to read the debut issue a little early. Thankfully, the issue lived up to the hype, and we want to tell you why it’s worth picking up! Don’t worry, this article is SPOILER-FREE!
